Diary Entry # 5: Changes

Isang buwan na ang lumipas simula ng huli kaming nag-usap ni Leo. Andami na rin nangyari simula nun.

Wala pa rin akong naririnig sa kanya. Either call or text or or PM or even email. Maski nung birthday ko, wala akong narinig from him. Regularly ko chinecheck ang email ko, pero wala ni isang email from him. So I gave up opening my email account unless necessary. Bago na rin ang telepono namin. Nasira kasi ni Kuya yung luma ng aksidente niyang mabagsak to. Sinubukan ko tawagan si Leo to inform him of my new number. Sadly, like before, puro ring lang ang naririnig ko lagi. So even that I gave up.

And all the communication lines between us were broken.

But it’s not all that bad. Carl…Well, he’s more than just a friend now. It’s been a week, pero, I still can’t get over the fact that… well… he’s my boyfriend now. Kinikilig pa rin ako everytime I recall how he told me that he loves me. And I found it hard to refuse. I love him as well.

I couldn’t believe it. I finally found someone who I could really call as my significant other. Carl never failed to make me happy. He was always there when I need him. And I know that I could count on him. He protects me and helped me pick up the pieces of my shattered heart. And now, my bandaged heart belongs to him.

Pero minsan, di ko rin napipigilan ang mag-isip about Leo. It’s been a month. Nag-aalala ako, kasi di naman ito ang ugali ng Leo na kilala ko. Yung Leo na kilala ko, tatawag agad yun as soon as he could to apologize. Yung Leo na kilala ko, gagawin lahat ng paraan para maayos ang mga nasisira niya, bagay man or relationship. Yung Leo na kilala ko… Yung Leo na kilala ko… wala na nga kaya ang Leo na nakilala ko noon?

Hindi ko na talaga alam. At ayoko na rin mag-isip para sa kanya. Dahil hindi naman din niya ako naiisip.

Gaya nga ng sabi ni Carl. Forget and move on.

Tutal, I have a whole new future ahead with him. And it doesn’t involve Leo and his mysterious phone calls.
